Conference: 22–23 June 2022, with GIGA, ISSER

This conference examined rural land-labour relations, small-holder farming, large-scale investments, commercialisation, and supply chains. The conference showed that rural transformation policies need to consider the environmental footprint of agricultural development and encourage more sustainably produced commodities as well as sustainability standards in global food systems.
